When it comes to drains and toilets, not all waste is created equal. Some items are simply not meant to be poured or flushed. They can cause unsightly messes and even health hazards. Some examples of items which should not be disposed of through your plumbing system are: baby wipes, paper towels, food grease, feminine hygiene products, medications, and/or anything that doesn’t break down in water.
During this time of year, trees and shrubs have new growth and full foliage and can create vision obstructions and traffic hazards. The City has a couple of ordinances that cover this issue. Please see Ord. 202 4-10.20.
